A quick note of thanks and to remark that my father was Quartermaster of the Hospital where you were born ;) My brother Tom was also born there in 1953, in October. I was then a two-year old toddler.

I have established some family trees for both sides of my family, and may well upload them although my initial searches don't reveal any potential connections. However, my main interest is in a One Place Study I am doing on Aldershot, Before The Army Came, as reported in part on aldershotvillage.net I have created trees for most of the residents there in 1853 and it is those that I plan to upload.

You will gather that I am from families connected to the Army, my father & his father being RAMC and my mother's father being Seaforth.

Best wishes

Peter

Hi Peter

Great to meet you here. It's so interesting that your father was Quartermaster at the Hospital. The informant on my birth certificate was Captain H. C. Thomas R.A.MC. It's probably the same informant on your brother's birth cert and I wonder if your father knew him. My father, Fred was in the Pioneer Corps.

I will take a look at your Aldershot village website and will look forward to seeing the profiles you upload for the residents. There may already be some of those residents on WikiTree.

Let me know if you need any help with WikiTree at all. You can always send me a Private Message and we can correspond by email.

Best wishes

Maureen
